Finding your perfect Loughborough University student home
Finding a student house in Loughborough can be daunting.
There are lots of student houses out there, with many companies, and knowing where to start can be difficult.
We make the house-hunting process much easier, stress-free, and with no pressure.
Most importantly; we value helping you find what’s right, much more than just filling our homes. We won’t hesitate to recommend other places to look if, for whatever reason, we don’t have what you are looking for.
Clan Living is about finding a student home that truly fits you and your friends.
1) Settle on your house size.
Take some time to figure out how many people will be joining you in your student home next year.
We have student houses to fit any sized group.
*It’s much better to find a house to fit your group, rather than find the people to fit a house. Don’t be rushed into finding people just to make the numbers up. The quality of your housemates is more important.
2) Discover our range of homes
Have a scroll through our Loughborough student houses on our website. We have quite a selection and we are confident that at least one of them will suit you.

3) Whatsapp Us and arrange a viewing.
We work around the clock throughout the week, so we will be able to arrange a viewing to suit you.
We will come and pick you up from your location, and drive you to one or more of our student properties so you see the full selection.
*In our experience, afternoon slots work best. Try and make sure as many of you in the group is present at the viewing!
4) Have a think, and ask questions.
The difference with us is that we don’t pressure you at all to take one of our student houses.
We have a small, high-quality selection, and are quietly confident in what we provide both in terms of the quality of our houses and our customer service.
Every year, we are fully let and have happy tenants.
This process is about making sure that you have found what you are looking for; and if it’s not with us, we will help you either way.
Ask us questions, we will always answer honestly.
5) Does the shoe fit? Let’s move forward.
Once you have settled on a house, it’s time for some paperwork.
It’s all done electronically, so there is no need to move from where you are to complete the process.
We will ask for several things:
Passport and/or Drivers License
Student ID
A UK based guarantor; see more information about this on our FAQ section.
A security deposit of £300 per person.
You and your housemates will be asked to sign a Tenancy Agreement.
6) Relax, you’re sorted.
Once complete, you can relax and rest assured that come your next academic year, you will be living in one of Loughborough’s most exclusive student homes.

Our Advice
The early bird catches the worm. We frequently get enquiries for our student properties a year, even two years in advance, for when students in second year want to secure a house for after their placement.
Most of our student homes tend to be fully booked by Christmas or shortly thereafter.
This is not to say that the later you leave it you won’t find a house; there are plenty of properties out there. But the quality of accommodation and location becomes much more restricted the later you leave it.
You will also be competing with more experienced second years, placement students and returning finalists for the best student houses.
We recommend that once you are happy and secure with your group of friends, you waste no time in securing a student house that you are all happy with.
Do not let the agents force a sale or pressure you into something you are not comfortable with; take your time, but when you do find something, don’t waste any time in securing it.
